One of the virtues of being a child at heart is that you don't let reality get in the way of your imagination. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through a kaleidoscope. Which is what I do, and that enables me to smile at life's reality and transform it into a beautiful piece of art. My daughter Zoey is my muse. When I was a child my imagination was out of control and I loved it. It was magnified because I learned to read early. I attribute my success in life to the fact that since I was 4 years old, I was able to see past what people told me and use discernment. I was a little kid with big ideas and keen insight. I see that same ability in my daughter and I want to nurture it. Early reading fueled my dreams and I truly believe without dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all is a form of planning your future.I wish you could see Zoey's face every time she sees herself in a new story. Her eyes get so beautifully big and the brightness of her smile compliments the rose in her chubby little cheeks. I thank God everyday that I am able to witness such heartwarming moments.I believe as parents we shouldn't just tell our kids how to live; we should just live correctly, and let them watch us do it. I want to encourage all fathers to read to their children more. I want more fathers to be the men they want their sons to become. I want more fathers to be their daughters' first loves and teach them to love themselves.
