Black Art Installation - 11/27/2021

We had a blast at our Black Art installation! Check out some of the photos below taken by Abena Sharon Dale. The artists whose ages spanned three generations were well received. Each shared the inspiration behind their art and the process they used to design their works. The eldest was Sebron Grant at 76 years old. His mirror, wood and nail art of Marvin Gaye is stunning (see video, left). Maywood artist Shanel Romain unveiled her powerful tribute to the upliftment of the Black Man. Kalief Dinkins made a strong showing as the youngest participant with his bold and vibrant colors. Liz LaRue (ceramicist) and Kolin Glenn (photographer) added depth to the artistic medium represented. We are thankful to Nichole Black for catering the event with scrumptious hummus and other fine delicacies!
Special thanks to Abena Sharon Dale for Photopgraphing the event! For prices of artwork, click here----------------------->>>>>>>
