Today Chicago will make news for a murder, perhaps in the Wild Hundreds. The corrupt mayor cutting a ribbon at a gentrified Black neighborhood or a fifty degree day in the middle of July. But, what will not make the news are the stories within these pages. Peek into the world of real life people as they experience their full selves within this city founded by a Haitian man named Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable, this peculiar city named Chicago.
